Large Art Nouveau period jug, fully identifiable of the style, made of silvered pewter, featuring a relief decoration with an aquatic theme. The design includes three undines (water nymphs), one of which has been modeled to serve as a handle.
The author is the sculptor Rigual, a Spanish artist (also active in France) known for his Art Nouveau creations. His sculptures are famous for their elegance and intricate details, especially in the representation of female figures and organic motifs.
