Measurements: 18,5 x 23 x 7 cm; 24 x 23 x 7 cm (with base).
This sculpture by Cocomir is fully inscribed in his abstract language of organic roots, where the form is built from tense curves, dynamic voids and precise balances. Cast in bronze, the piece presents a set of sharp and enveloping volumes that seem to unfold in space like wings, blades or metamorphosing forms, generating a simultaneous sensation of lightness and tension.
The surface treatment, with a dark patina of greenish hues, reinforces the perception of a living form, almost vegetal or animal, while the polished edges and the continuity of the curves reveal a rigorous technical mastery. The sculpture is articulated around a central perforated axis, which acts as a point of union and breath of the whole, allowing the space to become an active part of the composition.
The relationship with the prismatic base underlines the classical sculptural character of the bronze, but the work moves away from any explicit figuration to place itself in the field of modern abstraction, close to references such as Arp, Moore or Chillida, although with its own identity based on the elegance of gesture and formal synthesis.
