This enigmatic sculpture refers to ancient myths and the duality between knowledge, danger and transformation. It generates an image of strong symbolic tension. The frontal posture and the hieratism of the figure convey a sense of resistance and acceptance, as if the character consciously assumes the weight of the inevitable.

Xavier Escala graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Seville and graduated in Sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts of Carrara, he completed his training in the workshops of Luigi Corsanini (stone carving) and Aron Demetz (wood carving). He has received two National Sculpture Awards and his work is part of public and private collections in Spain, Italy, Switzerland and Russia.

Since 2014 he has had his workshop and residence in Sant Cugat Sesgarrigues (Barcelona). He has exhibited in international institutions and spaces such as the MEAM in Barcelona, the Marmo Museum in Carrara, Davos Klosters (Switzerland) and galleries in Italy and Russia, consolidating a career marked by technical rigor and a solid international projection.
