This piece in hammered copper belongs to one of the most intimate aspects of Joan Rebull's work, where the sculptor transfers his ideal of classical serenity to the devotional sphere.

The work of embossed copper allows Rebull to modulate the relief with great sensitivity: the surfaces vibrate softly with the light, and the volumes are defined more by the rhythm of the lines than by a deep modeling.

Considered the most outstanding Catalan sculptor of his time, Rebull is represented in the Museo Nacional de Arte de Cataluña, the Centro Nacional Reina Sofía, Barcelona City Hall, the Monastery of Montserrat and the Palau de la Música Catalana, among others.
