Sculpture of synthetic and refined character, in which an everyday object is transformed into an autonomous sculptural form. The work stands out for its volumetric clarity and the balance between figuration and abstraction, as well as for the expressive use of the natural grain of the Majorcan stone, which reinforces the formal unity of the whole. It is a representative example of a sculpture with modern roots, based on the essentialization of form and the dialogue between matter and object.

The work of Rafael Caldés has been exhibited in spaces such as the Galería d'Art i Maram in Sóller, s'Agrícola in Manacor, the Saló Llatí d'Arts Plàstiques, as well as in various exhibitions in sa Pobla and in galleries such as Lluc Fluxà and Horrach Moyà, among others. He has also shared group exhibitions with relevant figures of contemporary art such as Miquel Brunet, Pau Pericás, Julián Manzanares, Ferran Pizà, Josep Guinovart, Gerard Matas, Nils Burwitz and Antoni Tàpies.
