Sculpture of sinuous forms and refined volumetry that represents a stylized feminine figure, characteristic of Rosa Serra's sculptural language. The artist synthesizes the human body in wide curves and polished surfaces that accentuate the sensuality of the volume and the balance of the composition.

The treatment of the bronze, with a warm and uniform patina, reinforces the softness of the forms and the sensation of contained movement, common traits in her sculptural production centered on the human figure.

Rosa Serra Puigvert is a Catalan sculptor whose work is characterized by curved forms, rounded volumes and a plastic language of great dynamism, influenced in part by the sculpture of Henry Moore. Trained in Olot with Lluís Curós and later at the Academy of Lluís Carbonell and the School of Fine Arts of Olot, she began her exhibition career in 1972 and since 1973 she has been fully dedicated to sculpture.

Her career acquired international projection after receiving the Sculpture Prize at the III Biennial of Bilbao (1976) and carrying out commissions linked to the Olympic field, such as the sculptures for the Olympic Games of Seoul 1988 and Barcelona 1992. She is also the author of the Suite Olympique of the International Olympic Committee in Lausanne and several public sculptures in Asia and the United States. In 2008 she was awarded the Sant Jordi Cross.
