Wall sculpture.

In this work David Gerstein captures with great visual energy the collective movement of a cycling peloton, evoking the famous Tour de France competition. The composition is structured by means of a superposition of laser-cut figures in painted metal that generate different spatial planes, producing an intense sensation of depth and dynamism.
The chromatic stripes running across the cyclists' bodies create a vibrant rhythm that reinforces the idea of speed, while the shadows cast on the wall amplify the three-dimensional dimension of the work.
Gerstein is especially known for this type of multilayered wall sculptures, in which he blurs the boundaries between painting and sculpture.
In his works, color acquires an essential protagonism, generating compositions of great vitality that reflect scenes of contemporary life with a language close to pop art and contemporary graphic design.
David Gerstein studied at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem, later furthering his education at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris and Saint Martin's School of Art in London.
Throughout his career he has exhibited in galleries and museums in Europe, the United States, Canada, Brazil and Asia, including exhibitions in institutions such as the Israel Museum, the Haifa Museum of Contemporary Art, the Herzliya Museum, as well as international exhibitions in cities such as Toronto, New York, Washington, Düsseldorf and Rio de Janeiro.
