Sculpture carved in alabaster, representing a female figure of classical inspiration lying next to a small fountain decorated with floral motifs. The piece responds to the decorative taste of the Florentine sculpture of the early twentieth century, characterized by elegant and naturalistic compositions for bourgeois interiors. The natural polychrome of the alabaster, with pink and grayish veins, is integrated into the composition to suggest the folds of the dress and add chromatic richness to the whole.
