A sculptor and painter, Vicente Navarro trained at the San Carlos School of Fine Arts in Valencia, where he studied under López Mezquita. He regularly participated in the National Fine Arts Exhibitions, winning first prize in 1915. After traveling to Rome on a scholarship, he obtained a teaching position at the La Lonja School in Barcelona in 1918. He was a member of the San Carlos, San Jorge, and San Fernando Academies; he won the National Prize for Painting and Sculpture in 1947 and a medal of honor at the 1935 Valencia Regional Exhibition. His works are represented in various museums, such as the Museum of Modern Art in Madrid and the Army Museum.
