A renowned sculptor and architect from Madrid, Antonio Coello de Portugal creates works primarily centered on animal themes, featuring horses at rest or in motion, military and athletic motifs, purebred dogs, and more. He prefers small-scale bronze works, a medium in which he creates pieces rich in detail and expressive in gesture and movement. He has created monumental sculptures such as “The Angler” in Pechón, Cantabria, the town where he currently lives and works. He is also the creator of the statuettes awarded by the Association of Parliamentary Journalists.
