Characterized by striking elegance and extraordinary formal synthesis, “Swimmer” is a contemporary sculpture in which Milo Martín transforms the human body into a composition of essential lines, tension, and movement. Crafted in patinated bronze on a base of Belgian black marble. The figure appears frozen in the moment just before contact with the water, reduced to a stylized silhouette in which movement takes center stage. The anatomy is not intended to be reproduced with exhaustive naturalism, but rather to be refined until it achieves an almost abstract form.
Signed under the artist’s name Milo, the piece is part of the body of work by the Portuguese sculptor identified as Miguel Fernando López, known artistically as Milo.
