Henri Jacobs was a respected Belgian sculptor and architect who became a prominent figure in the Art Nouveau movements. He is widely recognized for his portraits and busts of notable figures. His depictions of female figures—whether mythological or inspired by the Renaissance and the Middle Ages—are particularly noteworthy. His sculptural and decorative designs were cast and immortalized by leading foundries of the time, such as the renowned Brussels foundry H. Luppens & Cie, as well as by H. Petermann.
