DESCRIPTION
20th-century kinetic sculpture.
Cut and painted iron.
Shows signs of rust and wear.
Measurements: 250 x 160 cm.
Large-scale kinetic sculpture made of cut and painted iron, with a freestanding base and an upper structure articulated by rods and suspended circles. The piece is organized around a large, red, curved, and ascending form that serves as the visual and structural axis of the whole. From this form, a system of circular elements unfolds, creating a dynamic interplay of balance, weight, and movement.
Its artistic language is rooted in the tradition of 20th-century mobile art. In this case, the piece embodies that kinetic heritage through cut-out planes and an ethereal composition that subtly shifts depending on the viewer’s perspective and the movement of the surroundings.
The combination of the sculptural base—with its almost totemic presence—and the suspended elements creates a tension between stability and lightness.
