Lola Pons was a student of Víctor Moya Calvo and began her artistic career as a ceramicist before moving on to sculpture. Since 1977, she has participated in numerous group exhibitions and made her debut in Palamós in 1978. She has held major solo exhibitions at the Kreisler Gallery (Barcelona), the Sofitel (Paris), and Alcolea (Madrid), among many others. In 1982, she won the Kreisler Gallery Sculpture Prize and the gold medal at the Salon d’Automne in Marseille; in 1983, the Grand Prize at the First International Salon of Aix-en-Provence and the Côte d’Azur International Grand Prize in Cannes; and in 1989, the Villa de Palamós International Prize. In her works, she captures the sensitive side of humanity; her pieces create living spaces that transcend form, and she draws warmth from stone and bronze. Her work is featured in the Santander Municipal Museum.
