The famous festival held annually in the Valencian town of Buñol, in which participants throw tomatoes at each other, acquires great visual impact in this photograph taken from a zenithal view. The red, connoted with symbolisms associated with life, but also with violence, together with the naked bodies playing or fighting amicably with each other, suggest ambiguous and open readings.
