"Freedom" captures that poetic and irreversible instant when the cage opens and freedom becomes a choice. In this meticulously constructed scene, a young girl holds an empty cage while soft red feathers float in the air: traces of a bird that has already taken flight. The lush, almost jungle-like vegetation frames the figure with an aesthetic reminiscent of period portraits and Pre-Raphaelite painting, while the chromatic palette - dominated by intense greens, golds and crimson reds - endows the image with a theatrical, symbolically charged aura. Far from being dramatic, the protagonist's expression is serene, as if the act of letting go were not a gesture of loss, but an act of acceptance. The composition -as careful as a film scene- conveys a sense of silent, mature, inevitable liberation. Reminiscent of baroque art and fashion photography, Freedom is a work that balances formal beauty with a subtle narrative, inviting the viewer to reflect on inner freedom and the act of renunciation as a form of empowerment.

Lídia Vives is a photographer and visual artist based in Barcelona. Her work has been published in magazines such as Vogue Italia and Esquire, and has been exhibited internationally in prestigious museums and galleries such as the Louvre (Paris) and the Saatchi Gallery (London). With a very recognizable pictorial, symbolic and narrative style, Lídia creates images full of color, emotion and hidden details -her characteristic easter eggs- that invite an attentive and deep observation. She has participated in several international contemporary art fairs, and her work has been shown around the world. Upcoming highlights include the Art Fair Daegu (South Korea) and the Affordable Art Fair Vienna (Austria), where his work will once again be in dialogue with diverse audiences and collectors from all over the world.
