In NY Crossroad I, Laurent Dequick transforms the New York urban landscape into a vibrant and almost abstract image, where the superimposition of planes, lights and structures generates a powerful sensation of continuous movement.

Trained as an architect, Dequick focuses his work on the exploration of dense urban environments and the "frenzy" that characterizes them. His creative process avoids capturing a single instant: he builds his images by juxtaposing and superimposing multiple shots, combining architecture, infrastructure and human figures in dense compositions where all elements acquire equal prominence.

The result refers to approaches close to cubism, with a clear tendency towards abstraction, where fragmentation and simultaneity allow him to convey the visual saturation and constant movement of the city. Thus, his work does not document the urban space, but reinterprets it as a complex, vibrant experience in continuous transformation.
