In this icon, of notable pictorial quality, the scenes are distributed in three registers, opening with the representation of the Birth of Jesus and closing with the Holy Sepulchre. Between both scenes, rows of sanctified bishops and martyrs are arranged in a frontal view, accompanied by legends in Cyrillic that identify them. Some carry phylacteries, others hold Gospels or scrolls. The delicate description of the clothing stands out, recreating the sumptuousness of the brocades and ornaments. Likewise, the slender canons are outlined with stylized lines, which are combined with a palette of luminous contrasts where reds and blues predominate on a golden background.
