BID HISTORY
DESCRIPTION
Brooch in 14kt yellow gold with rubies and jade. Years 40.
Original vintage brooch made in 14kt yellow gold, with a three-dimensional design representing a four-engine propeller plane, most likely inspired by civil or military aviation models of the mid-twentieth century. This jewel, with a marked figurative aesthetic, is adorned with two intense fuchsia-colored ruby cabochons on the front engines and two translucent green jade cabochons, mounted on the fuselage, as a windshield or cockpit. The level of detail in the structure of the aircraft, including the moving propellers and the precise proportion of the wings, which gives the piece an almost sculptural character. With hallmarks on the reverse.
