DESCRIPTION
PUIG DORIA necklace in 18kt yellow gold with mother-of-pearl, enamel, diamonds and rubies. Signed.
Rigid necklace of articulated design made in 18k yellow gold, centered by a stylized floral motif. The piece combines applications of carved mother-of-pearl and enamel in light and dark tones, creating an elegant play of hallmarks and volumes characteristic of the firm's signature jewelry.
The central motif is decorated with pear-cut rubies, arranged in the shape of a flower, enhanced by a brilliant-cut diamond in the center. Symmetrical design on both sides with curvilinear elements of mother-of-pearl and enamel, set with pear-cut rubies, weighing ca. 1.20 ct, interspersed and outlined by a continuous line of brilliant-cut diamonds, with a total weight of ca. 1.00 ct, which bring brightness and refinement to the whole.
Piece signed Puig Doria.
Accompanied by its original signature leather case (with slight wear on the outer black leather band).
Weight:
Measurements: 38 cm (neck diameter); 1.4 x 25 cm (front).
Design ascribable to the production of the Puig Doria workshop of the late 1970s or 1980s, a period in which the firm developed a fully personal language, characterized by the combination of precious metals with decorative materials such as mother-of-pearl and enamel, as well as compositions of a markedly authorial character.
Founded in 1948, Puig Doria is one of the most outstanding firms of Spanish fine jewelry. Since its beginnings in Barcelona, the house has developed its own style marked by rigorous craftsmanship, architectural inspiration and a careful integration of gems and noble materials. Its creations, often conceived as unique pieces or very limited series, transcend conventional jewelry to place themselves in the field of design and signature jewelry.
