DESCRIPTION
Brooch made during the last quarter of the 19th century. Made in 18k gold and platinum views. Naturalistic aesthetic design in the form of a butterfly. Body decorated on the abdomen by a cabochon-cut sapphire, weighing ca. 4.00-5.00 ct. and in the chest area by a rose-cut diamond, faceted. The wings, of openwork design, are decorated with brilliant-cut diamonds, with a total weight of ca. 1.00 ct. and round-cut sapphires, with a total weight of ca. 0.30 ct. On its head rests an Australian pearl of beautiful orient.
