Masriera (founded in 1839) revolutionized jewelry in 1901 when Lluís Masriera fused Catalan Modernism with French fire enamel techniques. In 1985 he joined Bagués, another historic Barcelona firm, unifying the artisan workshop under the name Bagués-Masriera to keep the original molds and archives alive. This merger allows current pieces to continue to be handmade with the same technical rigor as in the early twentieth century.
