Mid-20th-century brooch in 18k yellow gold. Designed by Moretto and adorned with a cabochon-cut emerald at the center of the brooch, brilliant-cut diamonds totaling approximately 0.40 ct., rubies, and an onyx-carved head. Pinback closure. Hallmark on the reverse.

Its origins trace back to Italy, where jeweler Guiolio Nardi designed it for his marriage proposal to present his future wife with a precious piece of jewelry inspired by William Shakespeare’s *Othello*.
