The Bestiario de Don Juan de Austria is a manuscript from the 16th century, specifically from 1570, dedicated to Don Juan de Austria, hero of the Battle of Lepanto. It was created by Martín Villaxide (or Villaverde) and is the only bestiary written in Spanish. It describes animals, both real and imaginary, with numerous illustrations.
