The Daemonastix, seu Adversus Daemones et Maleficos is a work that is part of a large collection dedicated to the rituals and practices of exorcism, conceived especially for the use of exorcists. This text corresponds to the Tomus Tertius, i.e. the third volume of a series that brings together knowledge, formulas and theological arguments aimed at combating demonic influence and witchcraft.
Printed in 1669 in Lyon by Claude Bourgeat, the book reflects the intellectual and religious climate of the time, still deeply marked by a preoccupation with the supernatural.
