DESCRIPTION
French chest, 18th century.

Bone marquetry.
Some keyholes and a lock are missing.
It presents restorations. Needs refinishing.
Measurements: 69 x 93 x 35 cm.
Eighteenth-century bargueño of uncovered sample and prismatic structure. The decoration is concentrated in the front, divided in three streets and covered with sheets in simile of tortoise shell. The sides house five drawers decorated with inlaid bone representing vegetal festoons. Each drawer is highlighted with ebonized moldings. The central street has a central niche that harmonizes in its inlaid ornamentation with the rest of the frontal. The ebonized highlights emphasize the symmetrical compartmentalization of the structure, seeking compositional clarity, an aspect that demonstrates that we are dealing with a bargueño of the advanced baroque, tending towards the purification of forms.
