Pair of 20th century table lamps with red pleated fabric lampshade. The pieces have the same design, inspired by the Empire style models. Each of the lamps sits on a round base adorned at the top with a gilded bronze applique. The shafts have been conceived in the manner of a classical goblet. The ornamental motifs are reminiscent of examples of the decorative art of the Empire style period but reinterpreted to suit the aesthetic taste of the twentieth century.
