Elegant armchair representative of the French Empire taste. The front legs, in elegant form of fluted saber, are linked with the waist, which is ornamented with festoons and vegetable strings in relief, usual motifs of the Napoleonic classicist repertoire that evoke the Greco-Roman antiquity. The armrests are carefully carved with scrolls ornamented with foliate motifs, which descend to meet the seat. The upper part of the armrests is upholstered, providing comfort and visual continuity with the upholstery of the seat and backrest.
