Directory style dressing table from the early 19th century. The Directory style is a style of decorative arts and especially the design of furniture, interiors and clothing that developed in France, during the period when the Directory was in force (from 1795 to 1799). It is a style of neoclassical inspiration, considered a transition between the Louis XVI style and the Empire style.
