French lamp foot of the second half of the 19th century, a piece of decorative and monumental character that combines noble materials and craft techniques typical of the historicist taste of the time.

The shaft is made of green onyx, polished and translucent, arranged in the form of a classic column that provides verticality and elegance. The structure is articulated in several sections, separated by gilded bronze mounts richly worked. The rings and friezes are decorated with champlevé enamel, with geometric and vegetal motifs in vivid blue, red and gold tones, a very characteristic resource of the Napoleon III period.

The base, also in onyx, rests on ornamented metal feet and has enamel applications that harmonize with the whole. The passage from the column to the upper zone is resolved by means of a Corinthian-inspired capital, reinforcing the reference to the classical language reinterpreted from a nineteenth-century decorative sensibility.

The lamp has been electrified, retaining two points of light at the top, integrated into a discreet metal arm that respects the original reading of the piece.
