Pair of table lamps model "Rinceaux", 1926.

Measurements: 67 x 38 x 38 cm.

Pair of lamps model "Rinceaux", designed by René Lalique in 1926, an exceptional creation within the refined Art Deco universe of the French maison.

Of extraordinary rarity, these lamps combine the sculptural richness of silvered bronze with the translucent delicacy of Lalique glass. The shade, made of molded, pressed and partially satin-finished glass, displays a plant-inspired ornamental rhythm that, when lit, comes to life through soft plays of light, transparencies and reflections. The result is a warm, enveloping illumination with a highly decorative effect.

The base, with a fluted shaft and carefully worked decoration, brings verticality and elegance to the whole, while the upper shade acts almost like a luminous crown. The balance between material, relief and light fully reflects the mastery of Lalique, capable of transforming a functional object into a piece of poetic presence and great sophistication.

The conservation as a pair, the signature, the accompanying documentation and its inclusion in the catalog raisonné of Félix Marcilhac reinforce the exceptional character of this set, particularly rare on the market and of notable interest to collectors of art glass and Art Deco lighting.

René Lalique is one of the most influential figures of the decorative arts of the twentieth century. After a brilliant stint as an Art Nouveau jeweler, he became an absolute pioneer of art glass and luxury industrial design. Lalique pieces are preserved in prominent museums such as the Corning Museum of Glass and the Metropolitan in New York, the Louvre or the Orsay in Paris, among many others.
