"Church of Santa Susanna".
Etching on paper.

Size: 18 x 29 cm (print); 26 x 37 cm (paper).
Engraving in which the façade of the Church of Santa Susana in the Baths of Diocletian situated in the hill of the Quirinal in Rome, Italy is represented. The present church was rebuilt between 1585 and 1603 for a monastery of Cistercian nuns founded on the site in 1587, which still exists today. This type of engraving, depicting the façades and sections of important buildings, became highly popular after the Renaissance, thanks to the flourishing of this discipline.
