The El Jefe Senior motorized model was made in the 50's in Valencia. It is an improved version of other previous projectors. The history of the Valencian firm El Jefe begins in the 1920s, when they designed, patented and marketed an innovative projector for projection rooms with a system that prevented fires in movie theaters. Later this innovation was transferred to home living rooms. Everything was developed during a time when there were few metallurgical companies in Valencia, and it was the time when cinema was booming. The company was boosted by the fact that the filmmaker Joaquín Pérez Arroyo, a pioneer of Valencian animation, made a copious production of short films for the company.
