The mirror is undoubtedly from the Catalan modernist period of 1900. Its molded structure finishes in its top in a myriad of curves and floral motifs of great aesthetic load. In the modernist period, furniture will play an important role, since it is a style that seeks to integrate all the arts, to build spaces in which everything, from the building itself to the door knobs, is designed within a consistent aesthetic, with attention and care. In addition, modernism develops in a time of flourishing of the old traditional techniques, especially with regard to the decorative arts. Thus, we will see how in glass, ceramics, goldsmithing and other arts, always including cabinetmaking, old procedures that had fallen into disuse are recovered, applying them following new criteria, within the new language.
