Box of compasses and measuring and writing instruments, made in France at the end of the nineteenth century. The original case, with wooden core and covered in imitation leather, contains different types of compasses, such as compasses with interchangeable points, compasses with extension, simple compasses, protractor, rulers of different formats. The set is representative of fin-de-siècle French precision and instrumental manufacture. It illustrates the functionality and elegance that characterized the technical drawing and measuring equipment of the time.
