DESCRIPTION
Pair of Art Deco two-light sconces, ca. 1930.
Silver-plated metal.
In good condition, consistent with their age.
Measurements: 15 x 17 x 9 cm each.
This pair of candelabras fully embodies the Art Deco style of the interwar period, characterized by geometric forms and stylized ornamentation of classical inspiration. Each piece consists of two curved arms arranged symmetrically around a fluted central shaft, resting on a stepped circular base.
The decoration combines beaded moldings, fluted motifs, and plant-like elements reduced to geometric patterns—common features in the decorative arts of the 1920s and 1930s. The silver finish enhances the play of light on the surfaces and underscores the elegant, architectural character of the piece as a whole.
