DESCRIPTION
Set of three mortars; 18th–19th centuries.
Cast metal.
Each comes with its own pestle.

Set of three cast-metal mortars, each accompanied by its corresponding pestle. The pieces feature different styles and ornamental designs, reflecting the formal variety of these traditional utensils used to crush and grind substances.
The mortar on the left stands out for its figurative reliefs and ornate side handles. The central piece features an elegant cup-like shape resting on a base, decorated with horizontal raised grooves. The mortar on the right, meanwhile, features ornamentation inspired by architectural elements, with raised motifs of arches or windows and a side handle.
