DESCRIPTION
LODOVICO POZZETTI (Italy, 1782-1854). "Casa rustica". Etching on paper. It has damp stains and dirt. It has slight folds and wrinkles in the paper, located in the lower area. Measurements: 35 x 41,5 cm (print); 38 x 49 cm (paper). Lodovico Pozzetti was an engraver of the Baroque period, renowned for his views or vedutas in which architecture played an important role. In this particular case, the piece shows this interest in capturing architecture, as can be seen both in the way in which the perspective of the work is conceived, which is structured through the diagonal that marks the ceiling, and by the presence of the church, located in the background. The work has a certain genre-like air, as it shows the presence of a man and a woman, both carrying out their work, out of sight of the viewer. It is worth mentioning the prolific work of this artist, which is part of important private and public collections, such as the collection of the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya.
