Dutch painter. He was a student of Christoffel Bisschop (1828-1904) and Louis Meijer. He became a member of the Pulchri studio. He received numerous awards. In Amsterdam, a street in the neighborhood named after Dutch painters (Overtoomse Veld-Noord) is named after him.
