Manuel Tramulles was a renowned Catalan painter and engraver of the 18th century. His main work lies in having been able to reflect with mastery and simplicity the well-to-do life of the bourgeois society. He served King Carlos III, for whom he painted in 1768 the canvas Carlos III takes possession of the canonry of Barcelona that belonged to him as Count of Barcelona, property of the Generalitat de Catalunya, which has it deposited in the MNAC.
