Elvira Alfageme began to study painting around 1959 under the guidance of painters such as Ricardo Macarrón, Alvaro Delgado and the American William Crovello. Her works have been exhibited in various group exhibitions in Spain and abroad. As a sculptor, she always innovated languages, although it was mainly in the constructivist tradition and its renovation where critics place her achievements. Her first individual exhibition took place at the Neblí gallery in Madrid in 1967, and won her the prize for the best work of art exhibited.
