Political or propaganda poster from the time of the Second Spanish Republic. The poster uses the Catalan language and its central message is a call to vote. The main text says: "LA LLEI DE CONREUS ASSAGURAVA LA VOSTRA VELLESA" (The Law of Contracts of Cultivation assured your old age). "RECONQUISTEU-LA AMB EL VOT!" (Reconquer it with the vote). The Law of Cultivation Contracts (Llei de Contractes de Conreu) was a law passed by the Parliament of Catalonia in 1934 that sought to resolve conflicts between landowners and tenant farmers. The poster suggests that this law is fundamental to the welfare of farmers and urges them to recover it through the vote.
