In Nocturn Matinal Tàpies seeks to capture the moment of transition where dark and heavy matter (earth, mud, pain) meets a ray of light or consciousness (awakening). The works under this title or concept are characterized by the typical language of Tàpies, but with a special game of contrast.

The edition consists of 1145 copies distributed as follows: 30 copies. Co-founder of "Dau al Set", Tàpies has been awarded prizes all over the world, and has had solo exhibitions in such prominent centers as the Guggenheim Museum in New York or the Museum of Modern Art in Paris.
