Spanish poet and visual artist, he studied Information Sciences in Barcelona, where he graduated with the thesis Escritura y realidad en el periodismo contemporáneo, a work that anticipates his interest in the tensions between word, representation and experience.
Spanish poet and visual artist trained in Information Sciences in Barcelona, where his thesis anticipated his interest in the relationship between word and reality. He debuted in poetry in 1982 with Siete poemas escritos junto a la lluvia and consolidated his recognition with Antífona del otoño en el Valle del Bierzo, Adonais Award (1985).
His work was enriched during his stay in Chile with Las páginas del fuego (1987) and continued in Spain with titles such as La poesía ha caído en desgracia, Premio Jaime Gil de Biedma (1992). In 1999 he won the Jaén Poetry Prize for La tumba de Keats, written during his scholarship in Rome. At the same time, he has developed an outstanding career as a visual artist, with solo exhibitions in Europe, Chile and the United States, integrating poetry and image in an interdisciplinary aesthetic proposal.
