Corene Cowdery was an American artist whose activity developed mainly between Illinois and New York City. She resided for nearly fifteen years in the state of Illinois, where in 1922 she was professionally registered as an artist, mainly devoted to painting.
She was active in the New York art scene of the early twentieth century and exhibited at the Third Annual Exhibition of the Society of Independent Artists in 1919, held at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York. This organization played a key role in the revival of modern American art.
He maintained residence in New York from at least 1925 and settled there formally in 1937, integrating himself into the artistic circles of Greenwich Village. She was part of the bohemian environment of the neighborhood and was a close friend of Madame Branchard, a leading figure in the Vil

Corene Cowdery was an American artist whose activity developed mainly between Illinois and New York City. She resided for nearly fifteen years in the state of Illinois, where in 1922 she was professionally registered as an artist, mainly devoted to painting.
She was active in the New York art scene of the early twentieth century and exhibited at the Third Annual Exhibition of the Society of Independent Artists in 1919, held at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York. This organization played a key role in the revival of modern American art.
