This composition belongs to the freest and experimental imaginary of Francis Picabia, one of the essential figures of the European avant-garde of the 20th century. Successively linked to impressionism, cubism and, above all, to the radical spirit of the Dada movement, Picabia developed an oeuvre marked by provocation, visual play and constant reinvention.
Today his work is present in major international museums such as the MoMA and the Guggenheim in New York, the Tate in London and the Musée National d'Art Moderne in Paris.
