Trained at the California School of Fine Arts and the School of Fine Arts in St. Louis, Missouri, Peter Saul's artistic career begins with Surrealism and Expressionism to enter in a big way in Pop Art. In his works he reflects the fixations of contemporary culture, directing the aesthetics of his works to that of the comic, with strident colors, distorted shapes and inconsistencies in scale.
