This silkscreen print clearly reflects the plastic language of Pablo Palazuelo, focused on the exploration of geometric form as an essential structure. Through continuous and precise lines, the artist builds a composition of simple appearance but of great internal complexity, where the line becomes a generator of space and rhythm.
The work responds to his interest in the processes of transformation and development of form, characteristic of his production, in which drawing and thought are integrated in the same practice.
Made in a stage of maturity, this piece synthesizes the fundamental principles of Palazuelo, consolidated as one of the key figures of Spanish abstraction of the twentieth century.
Pablo Palazuelo was one of the great references of Spanish art in the second half of the 20th century. Initially trained in architecture in Madrid and Oxford, from 1939 he devoted himself entirely to painting.
Throughout his career he received important awards, such as the National Prize for Plastic Arts and the Velázquez Prize, and was the subject of major retrospectives in institutions such as the Reina Sofía Museum, the MACBA and the Guggenheim Bilbao. His work is now part of major international modern and contemporary art collections.
