Artist's book by Joan Miró, made in 1972, in which the artist displays with full maturity his unmistakable plastic language through a set of 13 original lithographs, in the context of his collaboration with Josep Royo in the famous tapestries, transferring this material and symbolic universe to the graphic field.
The compositions combine calligraphic signs, organic forms and a vibrant chromatism, configuring a language of great poetic freedom and formal balance, in dialogue with texts by Rafael Orozco, Maria Lluïsa Borrás and Josep Royo, which reinforces the interdisciplinary nature of the project.
Joan Miró was trained in Barcelona and moved to Paris in 1920, where contact with surrealism was decisive in consolidating his own language based on poetry and the irrational, soon achieving international recognition with a presence at the MoMA and a major retrospective in 1941; his work is now held in major international collections.
