The head, understood as a space for thought and narrative, is one of the most characteristic motifs in Moisés Yagües’s artistic language. In I’ll Be Right Back, the artist literally brings this idea into the figure itself, where the handwritten message introduces his customary blend of humor, strangeness, and everyday poetry. The incorporation of collage into the drypoint further accentuates the contrast between the graphic image and the physical presence of the attached paper—a technique particularly consistent with his interest in constructing small stories through simple and direct visual associations.

Self-taught, Moisés Yagües has developed a career closely linked to drawing and printmaking. He has received grants from the Pilar and Joan Miró Foundation and the CIEC, and has completed residencies at centers such as Guanlan in China and Kloster Bentlage in Germany. His work is included in collections such as those of the National Library of Spain, the Pilar and Joan Miró Foundation, the Casa de la Moneda Foundation, and the Museum of Contemporary Spanish Printmaking.
